A Soundtrack for Atlanta's Most Storied Address


Built in 1924, Hotel Clermont has been a host to many characters and events—most good, some bad, all interesting. When the historic property was nearly razed a few years back, visionaries stepped in and lovingly restored it into Atlanta's number 1 boutique hotel, keeping all of its colorful memories intact.

The Challenge

Hotel Clermont needed a sonic identity as distinctive as its history, honoring the building's nearly century-long legacy while appealing to modern sensibilities. It also needed to complement multiple distinct spaces from the sophisticated French-American restaurant Tiny Lou's to the vibrant rooftop bar with skyline views, all while acknowledging the hotel's unique relationship with the legendary strip club operating independently out of the basement.


Our Approach

We dove deep into Atlanta's rich musical heritage, exploring everything from southern rock and soul to the city's pioneering hip-hop scene. Our team researched the hotel's many incarnations throughout the decades, using these historical touchpoints to inspire playlists that would feel authentic to the space.


For Tiny Lou's, named after a 1950s dancer, we crafted a soundtrack that blends vintage and contemporary sounds, creating a sultry, sophisticated yet playful atmosphere that complements the restaurant's French-American cuisine. The rooftop called for more energy, with selections that evolve from groovy afternoon vibes to upbeat evening sessions as guests gather to take in Atlanta's skyline.


Throughout the property, we layered in subtle nods to different eras of the building's history from Jazz Age flourishes to disco-era grooves creating an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and entirely fresh.

The music has become an essential element in Hotel Clermont's renaissance as Atlanta's most character-filled boutique hotel.
